EPIC Flight Academy

EPIC Flight Academy is the largest FAA Part 141 flight school network in the United States. Founded in 1999 at New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport on Florida's east coast, it has grown to 10 flight training campuses and two aircraft mechanic schools, training more than 7,500 pilots from over 110 countries who now fly for hundreds of airlines worldwide.

The Professional Pilot Pathway takes students from zero experience to multi-engine commercial pilot in six to eight months, or to airline-ready flight instructor status in around ten months; international students typically finish in eight to twelve months depending on visa processing. EPIC is SEVP-certified to issue M-1 visas, the standard route for international vocational students, and provides extensive housing, transport and English-language support. The fleet is bought new and averages about five years old, backed by advanced training devices for simulator work.

Airline pipeline partners include United Aviate, Envoy Air, Republic Airways, Breeze and SkyWest. New Smyrna Beach adds year-round flying weather and proximity to Orlando and Daytona Beach, which has helped make EPIC a leading US destination for international flight students. The academy is ACCSC accredited and was named a top school by Flying Magazine in 2024.
