Airways Aviation Australia is the Asia-Pacific arm of the global Airways Aviation group, founded in 1978 and training pilots across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia. The Australian operation holds CASA Part 141 and Part 142 approvals plus an Air Operator's Certificate, and is CRICOS registered to train international students. Headquarters sit at Hangar 51 on the Gold Coast International Airport precinct, with additional campuses at Archerfield Airport in Brisbane and at Lismore Regional Airport in northern New South Wales, chosen for light traffic and reliable training weather.
Students fly Cessna 172 and 182 singles alongside Piper Seminole twins, supported by a simulation suite that includes ALSIM AL250 and Elite devices. Training runs from a first PPL through the integrated CPL with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating. Through articulation agreements with Griffith University and Southern Cross University, students can combine CASA CPL MEIR training with a Bachelor of Business in Aviation Management, earning a degree and a commercial licence in three years.
