Basair Aviation College has trained commercial pilots in Australia since 1991 and runs one of the largest training operations in the country. Its fleet of well over 50 aircraft is, by some measures, the third largest in Australia after Qantas and Virgin Australia.
As a CASA-approved Part 142 organisation, Basair qualifies pilots to commercial standard in 150 flight hours rather than the 200 required at non-integrated schools, a 25 percent saving in time and cost that compounds across a multi-licence pathway. Two main campuses operate at Bankstown Airport in Sydney and Archerfield Airport in Brisbane. The fleet spans Cessna 172s and 206s, Piper Warriors, Archers and Arrows, plus Piper Seminoles and Beechcraft Duchesses for multi-engine instrument work, supported by CASA-certified simulators. A related in-house charter operation, Australia By Air, gives advanced students exposure to real commercial flying on the Cessna 206.
Programs are delivered as CRICOS-approved Diploma of Aviation qualifications covering the CPL and instrument rating, with structured admission support for international applicants.
