Spartan College of Aeronautics

Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology has trained pilots and aviation maintenance technicians in Tulsa, Oklahoma since 1928, making it one of the oldest dedicated aviation schools in the United States. More than 100,000 pilots and technicians from over 40 countries have graduated from Spartan programs.

The Tulsa campus delivers FAA Part 141 flight training through an Aviation Flight Associate of Applied Science degree, which qualifies graduates for the restricted ATP certificate at 1,250 flight hours instead of the standard 1,500, a meaningful head start toward an airline First Officer seat. Students train on a fleet of roughly fifty aircraft, including Cessna 172s, complex 172RGs, and Piper Seminole twins, supported by Redbird full-motion and Frasca procedural simulators. On the technical side, Spartan offers Aviation Maintenance Technology and Aviation Electronics Technology associate degrees plus a bachelor's in aviation operations.

Spartan is ACCSC accredited and a key training partner in the American Airlines Cadet Academy pipeline. Tulsa adds a low cost of living, year-round flyable weather, and a controlled-airspace environment shared with regional carriers. The college anchors Spartan Education Group, whose network also includes Illinois Aviation Academy near Chicago, McAir Aviation in Colorado, and two California maintenance campuses.
